Selfie-based skin scoring is a fun party trick. Knowing that dairy or short sleep correlates with your worst breakouts is what actually changes your skin. ClearSkin is built for the second one.

An AI face score tells you you have acne, which you already knew. ClearSkin tells you which of your habits is driving it, with evidence from your own log.
Product review apps emphasize what you put on your face. ClearSkin emphasizes everything else that affects it, sleep, stress, dairy, sugar, exercise, cycle phase.
ClearSkin runs entirely on your phone. No selfies sent to a server, no account, no telemetry. Your skin log never leaves the device unless you export it yourself.
Categories and prompts are based on what peer-reviewed studies show actually drives acne, not whatever a brand wants you to log to recommend a product.
They answer different questions. Selfie apps tell you what your skin looks like today; habit trackers tell you why. If your goal is understanding causes, what triggers your breakouts so you can avoid them, a habit and trigger tracker like ClearSkin is the right tool. If your goal is buying skincare, a selfie-and-review app may be a better fit.
No. ClearSkin does not require photos. The analysis is on your structured log, sleep, stress, diet, products, breakout severity. We chose not to do face scanning because it adds privacy risk without adding insight that the log itself does not already provide.
Yes. Everything is stored on your phone. There is no account, no sign-up, no server-side history. You can use the app entirely offline.
ClearSkin does not recommend products and does not earn commissions on any. The reason is editorial: product recommendations and trigger detection are different jobs, and mixing them changes what an app gets optimized for. ClearSkin is optimized to find your triggers honestly.
If you want answers about your breakouts, not a score and a product list, start logging.
